Guiding our passionate participants on this fabulous journey is none other than Chraja, the most inspirational drag queen from Athens. Together, we shall delve deep into the dazzling depths of drag, uncovering its personal significance for each and every soul. At the heart of our quest lies the celebration of individuality, embracing the myriad possibilities of self-expression and metamorphosis. Moreover, we shall unravel the art of conceiving and bringing to life unique concepts that reflect our innermost desires.
Embrace the grandeur of the Drag Atelier, a magnificent affair spanning five glorious workshop days (7 ‑ 11 July). And fear not, for our journey shall culminate in an awe-inspiring spectacle! Mark your calendars July 11, as we unleash our vibrant performances upon the hallowed stage of Queer Voices.
📍The workshop will take place in Chișinău.
🗣 English is the main language of the workshop and candidates should feel comfortable communicating in English.
Participation in the workshop is free of charge. We’re here to cover most of your meals (lunch, dinner, and coffee breaks), while each participant will be responsible for their transportation and accommodation expenses (if needed).

Are you a queer filmmaker or LGBTQIA+ ally passionate about storytelling? Join our Queer Voices Filmmaking Workshop, led by acclaimed cinema director Panagiotis Evangelidis (“They Glow in the Dark” 2013, “Xenia” 2014, “Irving Park” 2019).
Together with professionals, you’ll explore documentary filmmaking, sharpen your technical and creative skills, and create powerful short films to premiere at the festival’s closing day.

Queer Voices Festival warmly invites you to the Queer Theatre Workshop, a dynamic and transformative space dedicated to self-discovery, expression, and collective creation!
Join us in Chișinău from July 7–13, for seven days of theatrical exploration, community-building, and soul-stirring storytelling.
This workshop is open to queer individuals and allies who wish to connect through the art of theatre, speak their truth, and give voice to their inner worlds through body, movement, and emotion. Whether you’ve been on stage before or are simply curious to try, this space is for you.
This edition includes improvisation exercises, role-play, storytelling, and collaborative work. Together, we will build a safe space for courage, vulnerability, and joy.

- The workshop will take place in Chișinău, July 7–13, 2025

The Queer Voices International Film Festival invites you to the first Ballroom workshop in the Republic of Moldova – a unique opportunity for the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies to learn more about the most colorful, mysterious, courageous and supportive culture.
Ballroom culture, Ballroom house community, ballroom scene and other similar terms describe an LGBQTIA+ underground subculture that was born in New York, where people “walk” (i.e. are in a competition) by category, to win trophies, awards and fame at events, known in the form of balls. Ballroom culture consists of event-categories that combine performances of various types, dances, lip-syncing and modeling.
Whether or not you have experience in all this, it doesn’t matter – we rely on your energy and support in promoting Ballroom culture in Moldova. For three days you will be learning what it is like to live your life on voguing rhythms, to develop your fashion sense beyond the barriers imposed by society, you will learn what it is like to walk in various categories with courage, freedom, solidarity – as, you’ve probably seen it in the “Pose” series or in the documentary “Paris is burning.”
The workshop will take place between 2 and 4 December. The tutors are from Kiki House of Marciano, Kiki House of Solar and Kiki House of Angels – famous houses in Berlin.
Requirements for participants:
- Fill in this participation form;
- Be part of the LGBTQIA+ community, filmmakerx supporting the community or people working in an NGO that protects LGBTQIA+ rights;
- To be currently in the Republic of Moldova;
- To speak English, as this is the language of communication of the workshop;
- Ensure a non-discriminatory environment;
- Comply with safety and health measures.

The Queer Voices International Film Festival invites you to the fourth edition of the Queer Voices filmmaking workshop, which will take place in Chisinau between November 29 and December 5, 2021.
The entire LGBTQIA+ community, as well as its allies with experience or interest in filmmaking and filmmaking, are invited to participate in the Queer Voices workshop. The workshop aims to provide tools for the development of film production skills to tell more about the lives of people in the LGBTQIA+ community in the Republic of Moldova and the challenges they face in everyday life. The best film idea will be awarded.
In the context of the pandemic, the workshop will take place in accordance with the security measures and restrictions recommended to the Security Commission and the WHO.
The trainer of this edition is Panagiotis Evangelidis, film producer, known for They Glow in the Dark (2013), Xenia (2014) and Irving Park (2019).
Requirements for participants:
- Be part of the LGBTQIA+ community, filmmakerx supporting the community or people working in an NGO that protects LGBTQIA+ rights;
- To be currently in the Republic of Moldova;
- To know English, as this is the language of communication of the workshop;
- Ensure a non-discriminatory environment;
- Comply with the safety and health measures mentioned above.

The selection will take place in two stages – filling in the application form here and a possible interview in Zoom (or other online means of communication) with the organizers of the International Queer Voices Film Festival.
